New headquarters of Malteser Aid Slovakia in Bratislava

Malteser Aid Slovakia opened new premises in Bratislava on September 13 th 2019 to serve as the first national headquarters of the organization to ensure further operation and charitable activities in Slovakia.

The new premises will also be used for trainings, first aid and nursing courses, spiritual formation, meetings of volunteers, as well as for the storage rooms and preparation are of the material used for various charitable activities and services.

The new premises, located in the center of Bratislava on Jakubovo Square, have undergone extensive reconstruction during the past nine months. They were solemnly by the Metropolitan Archbishop of Bratislava, Mons. Stanislav Zvolenský in the presence of the Grand Hospitaller of the Order of Malta Dominique Prince de La Rochefoucauld-Montbel, the Ambassador of the Order of Malta to the Slovak republic Dr. Alfred Prinz von Schönburg-Hartenstein, the President of Malteser Aid Slovakia Dr. Julius Brichta, members and volunteers of the Order from Slovakia, Hungary and Austria, representatives of the diplomatic corps accredited in Slovakia, state and local authorities, as well as supporters of the organization.
In the opening speeches, each of the aforementioned representatives of the Catholic Church and the Order of Malta expressed the joy and hope of this step, which will take the relief organization of the Order in Slovakia one big further step forward.
